CHILDREN from a Redditch charity came together to celebrate the festivities at the town’s Christmas Extravaganza.
Marathon Kids Redditch is a children’s charity dedicated to inspiring the next generation to become more physically active and prioritise both their physical and mental health.
The charity’s aim is to encourage children to get the 30 minutes of recommended daily physical activity through running practice with the goal of improving each child’s wellbeing and encouraging a lifelong healthy habit.
Jason Furness, community ambassador of Marathon Kids UK in Redditch said: “We had so many of our Marathon Kids attend, wearing their branded vest tops and flying the Marathon Kids UK banner.
“We are incredibly proud of these children and all of our young Marathon Kids from across the UK.
“It is external events like these that help us to spread the word of the charity, our mission and to get our young people involved within their local community.
“Congratulations to everyone who participated and to the organisers of this very special event.”
The Marathon Kids Redditch programme takes place every Saturday at 9.30am at the Abbey Stadium and is free.
