REDDITCH Choral Society have hailed their latest Christmas concert a success.
The group’s first performance the pandemic was well-attended despite competition from Qatar.
The choir and soloists were in good voice and some of the audience became so enthusiastic they stood to join the choir singing the Hallelujah Chorus.
The evening finished with a standing ovation and heartfelt personal congratulations from the Mayor of Redditch, Coun Ann Isherwood, who said she was most impressed by the quality of the choir’s rendition of Handel’s Messiah.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7.45pm until 9.30pm at Crabbs Cross Methodist church.
