CHRISTMAS is in full swing at Kingfisher Shopping Centre and this year the centre is bringing festive cheer to the community with a host of charitable initiatives.
This Christmas Kingfisher is supporting the Make Christmas Special Toy Appeal.
The initiative, which is organised by St. Stephen’s Church and charity, Acts of Kindness, relies on the generosity of others to donate toys and gifts for local children from newborn to 18 years old.
Visitors to the centre have donated unwrapped new gifts and toys at Guest Services.
Board game enthusiasts will be pleased to hear that they can get their hands on a limited edition copy of Redditch Monopoly at Kingfisher.
The board game is now available to buy from Guest Services with all proceeds being donated to Marathon Kids UK in Redditch over the festive period.
A quantity of the board games has also been donated to Redditch Local History Museum to support them in their fundraising efforts.
Ken Williams, general manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our involvement in community initiatives all year long, but there is no better time of year to be generous than Christmas.
“These initiatives help us give back to the local community that we serve, and we’re thrilled to be welcoming back Primrose Hospice for another year to host their popular gift-wrapping station and as a donation station and place for the Make Christmas Special Toy Appeal to host their appeal.
