AFTER launching his appeal for Bleed control kits, director of Redditch Self Defence Pete Martin has been installing them around Redditch.
The latest is at the customer service desk in Morrisons.
Community champion for Morrisons in Redditch, Beverley Allington, has been supporting Pete Martin in all of his campaigns.
She said: “We as a family have been watching and supporting Peter Martin with his Anti Knife Crime at Redditch Self Defence for a while and when he asked people to support the Bleed Control Kits it was something we felt strongly about.
“We purchased a kit from Pete and on Tuesday 24th January we registered the kit and it has been placed on Customer Service Desk at Morrisons Redditch.
“As a mother of a serving police officer in Redditch and a mother of a son who works at Coventry Mortuary we could see the importance of this piece of equipment to our community.
“It is registered with 999 and needs no training to use it .
“We are overwhelmed by the community who have already raised and donated enough for Pete to purchase 31 kits for the Redditch area but you still can donate.”
Store Manager Ben Smith said: “Being a Community Store this is on hand if needed but we hope it will never have to be used.”
