A CHILDREN’S author visited a Redditch school to deliver a writing workshop.
Pupils from St Bede’s Catholic Middle School were thrilled to meet author, Dan Worsley, as he shared his passion for writing through a dedicated workshop about pirates.
Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were taken on an imaginative journey to explore the high seas and meet swashbuckling pirates.
After witnessing Dan’s captivating telling of his own terrible tale, pupils were offered the chance to create their own beastly buccaneer.
Through artwork, planning and drafting, pupils explored the life of an author in an exciting series of lessons to create their very own short pirate story.
A school spokesperson said: “The last two days were engaging and exciting days during which the pupils experienced stimulating and creative ways to write their own stories.”
