THE FINALISTS of the Worcestershire tourism awards have been announced.
A total of six Redditch finalists will be hoping for success and recognition regionally on Friday 24 March as well as the opportunity to represent Worcestershire on the national stage at the Visit England Awards of Excellence.
Visit Worcestershire received a record 111 entries from attractions to self-catering accommodation across 13 individual categories.
The best of Worcestershire’s produce and food scene has been carefully selected and developed into a bespoke menu for the evening.
Councillor Marc Bayliss, cabinet member for Economy, Infrastructure and Skills at Worcestershire County Council, said: “The Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards act as the perfect opportunity to celebrate and give the recognition our tourism sector deserves.
“We hope to build on the success of last year with further businesses being awarded at a national level through Visit England for their stand out businesses and efforts towards the visitor economy.”
Attwell Farm Park have been nominated for Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award and Large Visitor Attraction of the Year.
Aztec Adventure have been nominated for Experience of the Year and Small Visitor Attraction of the Year, alongside Forge Mill Needle Museum and Wythall Transport Museum.
Forge Mill Needle Museum are also up for the Resilience and Innovation Award.
