A REDDITCH canine re-homer is hitting the skies to raise money for Birmingham Dogs Home.
Alice Grimshaw has worked at Birmingham Dogs Home for 12 months.
With the cost-of-living crisis, Alice said they have seen more dogs than ever are coming in from wardens from across the region and from owners who can no longer cope.
She is doing a wing-walk on April 4, and hopes to raise £700.
She said: “Our kennels are now full of unique and vulnerable dogs who are seeking understanding owners.
“I would love to help raise much needed funds to ensure our dogs get the best possible care during their stay, and help them find their forever new homes.
“I am aiming to raise a minimum of £700, and have raised £325 so far.
“With everyones help, we can do just that, and play a part in making a big difference to a dogs life.
“Any donations big or small will help make an impact, and will go directly to Birmingham Dogs Home.”
A spokesperson from Birmingham Dogs Home said: “Alice is a highly valued member of Birmingham Dogs Home’s rehoming team, making everyone’s day better with a cheery smile for every customer.
“We are so proud that she has taken on this exceptional personal challenge to raise sponsorship money and awareness for our charity and the many dogs we are looking after.
“Alice sees the daily challenges we are currently facing with full kennels. She is proving once again she has a big heart – and a lot of nerve.
“The whole BDH team are really proud of her and are backing her aerial adventure all the way.”
