THE Hanbury Countryside Show Society will be organising the Hanbury Summer Show to be held on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30.
Just for 2021, this new event will include a Dog Village, with a Fun Dog Show and demonstrations plus dog groomers.
The bandstand will showcase lots of local talent including Gary Barlow tribute, Jon Fisher and The Endings Band.
‘Hanbury Farmyard’ will be a display of livestock along with more unusual creatures.
Children’s rides, traditional crafts demo’s, historic vehicles and a horse show will also be running.
Richard Heath, director of the Hanbury Countryside Show Society said: “This show will include many of the normal features that we would have.
“It’s a celebration of the countryside, and it’s going to be an absolutely super family day out.
“The show is at its usual location, and we’re making a lot of effort to ensure the event is Covid safe.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has meant that the Society hasn’t held a show since July 2019.
The Show raises money for charities like the Midlands Air Ambulance and the RABI; whilst the committee can’t stage the normal full blown agricultural show, it was felt that efforts should be made to raise some money for these important charities by running a Summer Show.
