A MAN was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following an incident in Redditch last night (Friday).
Officers were called to Evesham Road, near to Park Inn pub around 8.40pm, following reports of a disorder.
When officers arrived, they found a man has suffered injuries believed to have been caused by a knife.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.
An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of an assault, occasioning grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
Det Sgt Theresa Vaughan said: “Although we have one person arrested in connection with this incident, we would like to appeal for any witnesses who may have information to help us piece together what has happened.”

DS Vaughan added: “A police presence will remain at the scene for some time as enquiries are carried out, but it is not believed there is any further threat to the wider public.”
