Primrose Hospice can collect and environmentally recycle your Christmas Tree in Bromsgrove and Redditch this year

PRIMROSE Hospice is offering to collect your real Christmas tree and environmentally recycle it to help reduce landfill.

The ‘Primrose Elves’ will be taking to the streets on January 7 and 8 to collect your real Christmas trees with the help of Treemendus.

Around 250 tonnes of real Christmas trees end up in landfill every year and Primrose Hospice’s project with Treemendus aims to reduce that figure.

Local Bromsgrove based egg products producer, Bumble Hole Foods is sponsoring the Treecycle again this year.

Bumble Hole Foods has been a huge supporter of Primrose Hospice, especially since one of their employees, Andy, sadly died earlier this year.

Andy and his family were looked after by the Primrose Team, receiving care from their clinical support and family support teams.

A spokesperson for Bumble Hole Foods said: said: “From visiting Primrose Hospice, we are aware of the lack of funding the Hospice gets from the Government and how important the care is for the community.

“Without the care, a lot of patients and families wouldn’t have that vital support that becomes a lifeline for them.

“That includes not only the physical support, but also the emotional and psychological support that the Hospice gives the families.”

Primrose Hospice will collect and recycle your Christmas tree in return for a small donation.

They will be collecting in: B60, B61, B80, B96, B97, B98, B45, WR9, Alvechurch, Feckenham and Inkberrow.
