Redditch eco consultant goes back to school for green makeover

A REDDITCH sustainability consultant has visited his old school to give it an eco-makeover.

Tre Office provides sustainable office equipment and sustainability consultancy, helping companies be more aware of their environmental Social Governance (ESG)

Director of Tre Office, Mark Williams, was a pupil at Moons Moat First School.

He said: “In the past, we have offset our CO2 by planting trees, but I found we could make a significant impact by educating children about the environment.

“We have helped out a few schools in London but I thought it would be nice to help out my own first school.

“Before the pandemic we paired up with Whiting landscapes, based in Bromsgrove, and Rob Wilson of Meadow Bank tree surgery, to create an outside learning area for the school, with mesh play areas, fire pits, bug hotels and so much more.

“The school and students have been over the moon with this area, giving them an escape from the typical classroom environment.”

Mark said he wanted to create the same area at Moons Moat First School.

“We aim to complete this project whilst getting Redditch companies involved so we can help other schools within the area.”

Mark is appealing for landscape companies to get in touch to help deliver the project.
