REDDITCH residents are no longer in the dark about what caused power cuts in the B98 area last night.
The power failure was caused by a fault on a high voltage underground cable and at around 1am this morning (Thursday) a Western Power Distribution (WPD) spokesperson said: “We are aware of a power-cut in the Redditch area and we aim to restore all supplies by 3.30am.”
Residents of Brockhill reported power going on and off throughout the early hours, but supplies are now thought to have been restored.
On their Twitter account, WPD said “The faulty section has been isolated and all supplies have been restored.
“Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.”
