ST BEDE’S Catholic School’s year eight rounders team have succeeded once again, continuing its reign as winners of tournaments in the sport, writes Lily Bedford.
Their latest achievement was the district competition on June 20. The team demonstrated confident batting prowess and exceptional fielding skills to win the tournament convincingly.
Tracy O’Malley, the school’s head of girls’ PE, said: “What a year the year eight girls have had.
“We have entered all district competitions on the calendar and have won every single event.
“Whichever sport the year eight girls have chosen to pursue they have done so with such support and encouragement for each other.”
