SOUTH Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust has been recognised nationwide for its clinical excellence and making a significant difference to the lives of eye patients.
During the Ophthalmology Honours event, hosted by Bayer and supported by the Royal National Institute of Blind People and Visionary, the Trust a panel of experts saluted its care in three of the six categories.
The Trust’s Vulnerable Adult Ophthalmology Service won the ‘Best Patient Support or Education Initiative award’ while the experts also highly commended the Trust’s glaucoma service in the Best ‘Ophthalmology Service Improvement’ category and Sarah Queen, Consultant Nurse and Ophthalmology Clinical Director, as an Outstanding Ophthalmology Nurse.
