RETAIL giant B&M Bargains is set to open a second store in Redditch.
The new home store with garden centre will be based on the Abbey Retail Park in the former Homebase unit and will begin trading on October 11.
A total of 70 jobs are expected to be created and bosses are hoping to find a community hero from the borough to formally open it, with £250 worth of vouchers on offer for the winner to spend in store.
Mark Edmonds, B&M’s store manager at Redditch Brockhill, said: “We wanted a true VIP to officially open our new store and what better way than to ask customers to nominate those who make a real difference to people’s lives in and around Redditch.
“We’re not judging by age or the type of support, we just want someone who goes that extra mile and who we can give something back to for a change.”
To nominate someone e-mail [email protected] or send a letter to Redditch Brockhill Local Hero Search, B&M Retail LTD. Dakota Drive, Estuary Commerce Park, Speke, Liverpool, L24 8RJ.
The deadline for nominations is October 3.
