A WINYATES home was burgled and three mountain bikes and a racing bike to the value of £3,000 were stolen from the garage of a house in Kinnersley Close in the early hours of Friday morning (October 16).

Meanwhile at a house in Offenham Close, Church Hill thieves pulled open the French doors to the dining room, which had the keys left on the inside. Once inside they went through the lounge and the master bedroom, however the alarm was activated and they made off, appearing only to steal the keys.

The offence happened between 8am and 6pm on Thursday (Oct 15) and police are appealing for witnesses to call them on 101.

Elsewhere in the borough the window of a car parked in Ombersley Close, Woodrow was smashed with part of a concrete slab over Thursday night, Friday morning (Oct 15/16), but nothing was stolen. However a car battery charger was stolen from a shed at a home in Netherfield, Greenlands between 8pm on Tuesday (Oct 13) and 1.30pm on Wednesday (Oct 14).

For the second time the tyres were slashed on a car parked in Abbey Road off Hewell Road sometime between 5.30pm on Wednesday (Oct 14) and 5.30pm on Thursday (Oct 15).

Police are also urging any residents who have concerns about drug dealing in their area or have information that you would like to report to call 101 to speak to the safer neighbourhood team, dial 999 in an emergency or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to report information anonymously.
