YOUNGSTERS from across the borough can take part in free Street Cricket sessions right to the end of the school holidays.
Interested young people can attend the sessions with fully qualified coaches every Wednesday until September 14 between 5.30pm and 6.30pm at Redditch Cricket Club.
Street Cricket is different to normal cricket because it can be played by as many or as few people as you like needing only one bat and ball and its intended to be played in any safe open spaces used by the community.
The sessions are being put on by Redditch Borough Council in partnership with Redditch Cricket Club, North Worcestershire Community Safety Partnership, West Mercia Police, YMCA and Batchley Support Group thanks to funding from Councillor Graham Vickery’s Councillor Divisional Fund for the Batchley area.
All ages and all backgrounds are welcome to attend.
