Call to Redditch residents to help shape their local health services

Redditch Editorial 6th Jun, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

REDDITCH and Bromsgrove residents are being encouraged to get involved, have their say and help shape their local NHS services.

This week is Patient Participation Group (PPG) Awareness Week and there are a number of ways that people can get involved and have their say on how health services are delivered locally.

If you would like to know more about your GP practice’s PPG group and how you can become involved, contact your practice.

There’s also a chance for people to become more involved in their local health services by joining the ‘Now Have Your Say’ membership scheme, which is run by NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The scheme is an opportunity for patients and the public to work together with their doctors to better understand what health topics are going on in their area.

Now Have your Say members can:

Have their say and debate issues

Access up-to-date information about their CCG

Help improve the future local health services

Learn more about their areas of interest

Hollie Hastings, from NHS Redditch and Bromsgrove CCG said: “We value every bit of feedback that we receive and want to ensure that all the services that we commission are done so with patient and stakeholder input.

“Patient Participation Groups are a crucial way of hearing the voice of patients in primary care, and have much to contribute in driving up quality.”
