A BOROUGH ballet dancer is set to star on stage with the English Youth Ballet.
Ethan Jones will be taking part in the company’s production of Sleeping Beauty on September 19 and 20 at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, having only taken up the style last November.
The 13-year-old from Redditch, who goes to Studley High School, has been dancing since he was eight and currently has a year’s scholarship with Elite Performing Arts in Bromsgrove.
His mother Tracy said: “He auditioned for a part with the English Youth Ballet for Sleeping Beauty on June 2 and was given several parts.
“He has been sponsored by friends mainly from Redditch and from other parts of the country to take part in the show through the power of Facebook as there was a £435 fee to participate.
“It’s his first experience in a professional performance and hopefully the start of a wonderful career.”
