LOCAL bus operator, Diamond Buses, is holding a recruitment open day at its Redditch depot this Saturday, June 11 from 10am to 3pm at its Plymouth Road site in the town.

The recruitment day aims to showcase the opportunities for existing PCV license holders to find out more about working for Diamond and to apply for a number of full-time and part-time vacancies.

It follows the success of the recent Jobs Fair hosted by Karen Lumley MP in the Kingfisher Centre.

Dave Brundrit, general manager, said: “It is always exciting to hold a recruitment drive as we get to meet so many interesting people. We are looking for friendly, customer focused drivers who take a pride in serving the local community.

“We want our drivers to be ambassadors for our company and the right driving team is vital in delivering the highest possible service standards.”

Andy Brook, bus driver for Diamond Buses Redditch, added: “I really enjoy meeting new people and chatting to my passengers. I’ve already built up a good rapport with the regulars and enjoy having a laugh with them.

“I only joined the company in April and find that no two days are ever the same. I really love the job.”
