Former Astwood Bank pub is open again

AN ASTWOOD Bank landmark which has stood empty for four years is set to re-open.

Businesswoman Olivia Waters has transformed former pub The Coach House into Astwood Smiles Nursery and is set to open in June.

The Feckenham Road building was closed in 2010 and work began on the construction of the nursery in January this year.

Mrs Waters said: “The original Coach House building is over 200 years old, with an extension that was built in the 1980s.

“Having lived in Astwood Bank throughout my childhood I’ve always been familiar with the building and its central location and large car park so, when I decided to start a new venture in the form of Astwood Smiles, I couldn’t think of a better venue for it.”
