FOUR MEN have been arrested after a drugs raid in Redditch.

More than 25 officers used warrants to enter the licensed property on Bromsgrove Road last night (Thursday).

Police say a large amount of what is believed to be cannabis was seized along with a quantity of cash.

A 20 and 48-year-old man from Redditch were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class B drugs, while a 22-year-old was also arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs and a 28-year-old was taken to custody for possession of class B drugs.

A 36-year-old man from Dudley was also given a cannabis warning.

Darren Webster, Safer Neighbourhood Inspector, said: “We would like to reassure the residents of Redditch and the surrounding areas that your local police will act on the information we are given to help keep our communities safe.

He added: “We are intolerant of drugs in our community and are vigilant in tackling the fight against drugs which brings so much harm, not only to our town, but to communities across the force area.”

Anyone who has any information about the use and supply of illegal drugs should call West Mercia Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
