Ghostly goings-on in Arrow Valley

Redditch Editorial 8th Nov, 2015 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

HALLOWE’EN was celebrated in spooktacular fashion this weekend when residents took part in a ghost walk across the town.

The ghost hunters took part in the event, which was organised by Arrow Valley Visitors Centre, between 6pm and 8pm on Saturday (October 31) – all in fancy dress.

Hosted by the Ghosts of Redditch, a non-profit website who’s operators collect local ghost stories from the public, the walk saw participants hear stories such as the angel at Ipsley Church whose eyes are said to move and the tale of a young girl who floats in the weir where people used to swim.

Even spookier was when two members of the party claimed to have seen ‘something’ along the walk and recordings of voices were made despite nobody else being in the vicinity.

•Ghosts of Redditch will host a less scary event on November 28 and 29 – the Christmas Craft Fair – at Arrow Valley Visitors Centre.
