THE FINAL days of Jesus Christ’s life are set to be told as part of a production by Redditch Operatic Society.
Members of the group are set to perform their version of the classic musical Jesus Christ Superstar at the Palace Theatre from November 18 to 22.
It is the first time Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s rock opera has been performed at the Alcester Street venue. The story focuses on the final seven days of Christ’s life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion on the cross.
Performances take place at 7.30pm each night and a Saturday matinée at 2pm.
