LOCAL residents are being encouraged to ‘Give and Grow’ this harvest season as the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) prepares to raise funds for those affected by hunger in the world’s poorest country.
Helen Moseley, CAFOD co-ordinator for Redditch, said: “When we can simply pop to the supermarket to buy food rather than have to rely on the food that we ourselves have grown, it’s easy for most of us to take it for granted that we’ll have enough to eat.
“Yet many people around the world go hungry if there is a drought or crops fail – support will help to bring hope to so many people.”
