BOOKWORMS at Woodrush High School had the chance to take part in a world record attempt.
A total of 149 books were swapped in the library last Friday (February 6), with 74 other libraries also taking part to mark National Libraries Day.
The school is now waiting to hear if it has achieved a new record for the most books swapped within eight hours.
A spokeswoman said: “Staff and students have been saying they have read a book for the first time in a while. Across the school people have been reading this weekend who may not have done otherwise.”
