A REDDITCH employee has beaten more than 1,000 people to be named one of retail’s rising stars.
Lily Southall works in BHS in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre as a sales floor manager in training and was given the accolade for Apprentice of the Year during Retail Week’s Rising Star Awards.
The 22-year-old was crowned winner at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on September 15.
She said: “The ceremony was amazing, I felt like a celebrity and it was made even better near the end of the evening as I actually won. It was the best feeling ever, I was on top of the world.”
Since being given the honour Lily has been asked to make a presentation to the board of directors at BHS including the new owner, Dominic Chappell.
She hopes to be signed off soon as a sales floor manager and aims to become a store manager by the aged of 25.
