A NEW early years training centre has opened its doors in Studley in what was the village library.

MBK Training, which is based at Millennium House on High Street, was officially opened by Stratford-upon-Avon MP Nadhim Zahawi.

The centre was converted by nursery group Bright Kids in a bid to create a headquarters for administration and training.

The company’s 65 staff members will use the building but it will also be available to local businesses and groups to hire.

Courses in different areas of early years care will also be on offer to the public.

Tricia Wellings, chief executive of Millennium Bright Kids, said: “I am delighted to be able to get our training academy officially off the ground and we are looking forward to welcoming new learners through our doors in the coming months and years.”

Mr Zahawi said: “I was delighted to be asked to open MBK’s new training centre. Ensuring the UK workforce has the correct skills is a vital part of our long term economic plan, so it’s fantastic to see a local facility offering training and opportunities in this important sector.”
