A DIAMOND duo will celebrate 60 years of marriage by setting sail on a cruise around the Mediterranean.
Dawn and Leslie Keyte will embark on their week-long voyage on Saturday (July 18) – exactly 60 years from the day they said ‘I do’.
The pair, who live in Greenlands, first met at High Duty Alloys where Leslie worked as an electrician and spotted Dawn.
He then saw her again at a roller disco where he swung her round the ring and the duo began dating.
Less than three years later they married at Astwood Bank’s St Matthias and St George Church.
They then went on to have three children, Ian, Sharon and Nichola, and seven grandchildren.
Dawn said the key to their long and happy marriage was ‘having a laugh together’.
“We have had our ups and downs like any married couple, but we just keep together, “ she said.
Leslie added: “You never have time to row with the grandchildren around, but we just still enjoy each others company.”
