A TALENTED rock musician will take to the stage at Morton Stanley Festival for the third year running.
Stuart Woolfenden will be appearing at the borough festival at 5pm on Saturday, August 16
But this year will be the first time he has a played with a band.
The 16-year-old has always performed as a solo act but wanted to take on the new challenge and hear his music played out by a live band.
Inspired by the Kaiser Chiefs, Manic Street Preachers and The Clash, the teenager said he was nervous to perform despite gracing the stages of the O2 Academy in Birmingham, Redditch’s firework display and numerous pubs and venues.
The Broadwas Close resident said: “ I have always wanted to play live with a band and now I’m going to get that opportunity.
“We have been rehearsing a lot and I’m really excited about it. Hopefully it will go really well.”
He added it was one of many gigs he would be playing this year including Snodfest and Wolverhampton Pride in September.
