CHIEF Superintendent Lee Davenport, hate crime lead for Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police, will be hosting a web chat giving members of the public the chance to find out more about hate crime.

The web chat will take place between 6pm to 8pm next Tuesday (October 13).
The event has been planned to coincide with National Hate Crime Week which runs from October 10-18 and is one of a series of events taking place across the Warwickshire and West Mercia policing areas as part of a week of action on hate crime.
Chief Supt Davenport said: “We know that on a national level hate crimes are underreported and that there are many reasons for this. This web chat and other events during hate crime week will give us the opportunity to engage with our communities and ensure that victims are comfortable to come forward in the confidence that they will be listened to and supported.
“If you’ve got any questions whatsoever on hate crime, please take this opportunity to ask them.”
