BATCHLEY First School Choir joined forces with 2,000 others in a concert with the AC Academy at the Royal Albert Hall, London last Tuesday (June 14).
The children, parents and staff had an amazing time. They all enjoyed performances by Strictly Come Dancing’s Kevin Clifton and Karen Hauer and sang a range of vibrant songs including Dancing Queen alongside a Les Misérables medley and Carmina Burana.
Music teacher Sarah Wykes said: “I am so proud of the Batchley First School Choir, their singing was outstanding, and it was wonderful that so many of our parents were able to join us in this amazing event. We are very grateful that County Councillor Robin Lunn supported us financially with the transport.”
Councillor Lunn also joined the children and watched and listened to the performance. The AC Academy is a charity which coaches staff to become choir leaders.
