AN award-winning Redditch guitar player is to start spreading the word to aspiring musicians.
Cris Tolley, a past winner of the Acoustic Guitarist of the Year award, is best known for his work with world music group Montparnasse and gypsy jazz outfit Trio Rosbifs.
A fully qualified teacher, Cris has been head of department in four schools as well as lecturing in music performance and theory.
The Plymouth Road resident is a former Head of Guitar at Redbridge Music Service in London and now works for Birmingham Music Service.
Cris has been performing for 35 years playing jazz, classical, rock and folk music professionally in all sorts of contexts including the Royal Albert Hall and Symphony Hall.
His speciality is classical guitar and acoustic styles and is skilled at getting beginners going and polishing players from the improving to the experienced.
He can also help with music lessons, GCSE or A level coursework, as well as entry for Trinity College classical exams or the new Rock School acoustic guitar course.
