Redditch H&M to double in size

THE TOWN’S H&M will be doubling in size as part of a major revamp of the store.

The shop, based in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, has agreed to expand its floor space from 11,350sq ft to 23,000sq ft.

The re-launch will include extending the upstairs into what was previously part of the former Woolworths unit.

It comes as part of multi-million pound plans by centre owners Capital & Regional to revitalise the shopping centre.

This includes transforming Worcester Square into a community area, double story shop fronts and the launch of the new Hub leisure area.

The new-look store will offer fashion for ladies, men, teenagers and children and is set to open by Autumn this year.

Ken Williams, centre manager for the Kingfisher Shopping Centre, added: “We have been working extremely hard to improve the centre to create a great shopping environment for our customers. This is clearly paying off and we are really pleased that H&M are taking more space which will allow them to provide an even better choice to our shoppers. The brand is already extremely popular and we expect that the new bigger store will be a big hit, especially in the run up to Christmas.”

A spokeswoman from H&M, said: “We are delighted to be offering a larger store within the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch.”
