REDDITCH Lions Club held their second Fun Run / Walk recently to raise funds for the Alexandra Hospital’s Rory the Robot and Prostate Cancer UK.
The club decided a few years ago to help raise the profile of prostate and testicular cancer by organising a fun run or walk – in fancy dress if desired – around the 2.5km circuit of Arrow Valley Lake and the hope is they’ll smash last year’s total of £3,000.
The event started with a warm up period lead by Karen Baxter from Glow Redditch, and at 11am just under 100 participants set off around the lake.
The club is hoping to build up interest so that it becomes a fixture is Redditch’s fund raising calendar.
