A 19-YEAR-OLD Redditch man is in custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal collision that claimed the life of a young motorcyclist in the Woodrow area of Redditch in the early hours of this morning (October 26).

The motorcyclist who lost his life in the collision has been named on social media as young father Damion Milton.

A 20-year-old man also from Redditch was arrested on suspicion of obstructing police, and is currently on bail until November 13.

The news comes after police say there may have been another motorbike involved in the collision which happened at the junction of Woodrow Drive and Woodrow South, at around 1.30am today.

A paramedic officer came across the scene this morning where two men on a Honda motorcycle had been involved in the collision.

A man, believed to be in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene whilst the other, believed to be in his late teens, was taken to hospital by ambulance.

It is not yet clear which man was driving the vehicle.

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the incident and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen either vehicle before the collision.

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 24 of October 26.
