Residents to unite across Redditch to remember the fallen

RESIDENTS across the town are invited to unite on Sunday (November 8) to remember those who lost their lives in conflict fighting for Britain.

The Redditch Royal British Legion will meet at 10.15am at T J Hughes with the parade due to depart for St Stephens Church at 10.35am.

All members of uniformed associations and youth organisations, such as scouts, brownies and guides, are invited to join the event alongside veterans young and old who are encouraged to wear their medals and poppies with pride.

On Rememberance Day itself (Wednesday) a service will be held at 11am at the cenotaph in Plymouth Road – all residents are invited to attend.




STUDLEY Royal British Legion will be marking Rembrance Day with a parade this Sunday, November 8.

The parade will assemble at 9.50am at the Pool Road car park and will march to the War Memorial via Pool Road, Crooks Lane, Toms Town, New Road and Birmingham Road (A435), starting at 10.15am to arrive at the War Memorial at 10.40am for the act of Remembrance and Service.


At 11.30am the parade will march from the The War Memorial to Pool Road for The Salute via the A435, Barley Mow Island, High Street and Crooks Lane.

Road users are asked to be patient when driving around Studley during the above times.

A REMEMBRANCE Day parade will take place in Winyates on Sunday (November 8).

The parade will gather in the Winyates Centre at 10.15am before proceeding to the Matchborough centre for a church service at Christ Church at 11.00am.
