STUDLEY residents are hoping for yet another blooming success after the village’s flora was judged on Friday (July 31) in anticipation of the Heart of England in Bloom competition.
The organisers, who are aiming for a fifth gold in a row, have introduced their own colour scheme and enjoyed working closely with the Brownies on gardening projects to grow lots of vegetables this year.
“We would like to thank everyone involved,” said Gill Liebthal, chair of Studley in Bloom. “We are thanking everyone that has worked so hard and hopefully we can achieve another gold this year.”
Gill and the rest of Studley will have to keep their green fingers busy to take their mind off the competition as the results are not due for release until September.
Studley in Bloom would like to thank everyone involved, in particular Castle Nurseries, HMP Hewell Grange Prison, Stratford Borough Council, Angela Lloyd and her team, Studley Parish Council, Studley Daytime WI, Studley Priory WI, David Morris, Richard and Catherine Walters, Matthew at PSW and all of their sponsors.
