A NATIONAL accolade has been awarded to The Vaynor First School Academy in Redditch.
The commendation was given due to the school’s efforts to improve progress in reading, writing and maths for all students.
The Quality Mark Award recognises The Vaynor’s strategic planning, quality of teaching and learning, pupil progress and community relationships.
Helen Colcombe, deputy head and Achievement for All Champion at The Vaynor First School, said: “As Achievement for All have recommended that we fast track for the Quality Lead Award now, we look forward to continuing to work together to ensure the highest standards for our pupils.”
Laura Bromberg, regional director at Achievement for All, added: “They have shown a high quality of leadership and teamwork, and most importantly, the target groups have made higher than expected progress. Vaynor has shown a continued commitment and success in improving outcomes for their children.”
