SPORTING Club Inkberrow achieved a third successive promotion following a 1-0 victory against Highworth Town in the Hellenic League Premier Division play-off final.
Inkberrow will play at Step Four for the first time in the club’s history next season after Jack Tolley’s goal proved decisive at Sands Road.
Tolley lashed a half-volley into the right corner of the goal in the second half to settle the contest.
The club belatedly celebrated promotion last season despite losing the play-off final following the withdrawal of another club at Step Five.
And Sporting took the opportunity given to them with both hands after enjoying an excellent campaign in the Hellenic League Premier.
Inkberrow eased to a 3-0 win against Mangotsfield United in the play-off semi-finals.
And after Highworth stunned league runners-up Roman Glass St George in the other semi-final, Inkberrow had home advantage in the final.
Sporting completed a league double over Highworth in the regular season and claimed a third victory against the same opponents in the play-off final.
