ALEX Cameron scored twice and also saw red as Redditch United thrashed Skegness Town 5-0 to advance in the FA Cup.
Cameron struck twice in the first half while Danny King also found the net only for the former to see red on the stroke of half time at the Valley Stadium.
However, Reece Flanagan and Leo Wood both struck after the break despite Redditch playing with a man less for the entirety of the second half.
Redditch are in the hat for the second round qualifying draw which takes place at 1pm on Monday, September 1.
The Reds broke the deadlock on 16 minutes when Cameron volleyed home Harry Eden’s cross from the left at the back post from close range.
And United doubled their lead on 24 minutes as King nodded Flanagan’s superb cross from deep into the right side of the goal from six-yards out.
Mike Fowler’s side extended their lead on 32 minutes when a miscued clearance fell at the feet of Cameron and the striker lashed a shot into the bottom left corner from 25-yards out.
However, a flashpoint arose on the stroke of half time after Luke Horne fouled Joe Hull just inside the Redditch half.
A scuffle broke out in which Cameron pushed Horne and the referee brandished a straight red card in the direction of the Redditch striker.
Despite playing with a player less, the Reds all but sealed their place in the next round two minutes after half time when Flanagan reversed a shot into the bottom right corner from just inside the penalty area.
And the home side completed the scoring in injury time as Wood chested in Tyler Bruck’s cross from the right at the back post from close range to score his first goal for the club.
Redditch are next in action against Real Bedford on Saturday, September 6 with kick-off at 3pm at Ledger Stadium.
