REDDITCH United booked their place in the semi-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup with a 3-2 victory against a young West Bromwich Albion side.

The Reds staged a late comeback to reach the last four as Tyler Bruck scored an 87th-minute winner at the Valley Stadium after Liam Loughlan’s penalty drew the home side level.

An early goal from Alex Cameron put United ahead only for West Brom to lead at the break courtesy of a brace from teenage forward Eseosa Sule.

However, Mike Fowler’s side showed spirit to turn the game around with two goals in the final eight minutes.

And the Reds will travel to National League side Tamworth in the semi-finals of the competition with a date for the fixture to be announced in due course.

Redditch took the lead after just 13 minutes when Cameron turned home Loughlan’s cutback after neat footwork from Danny King.

However, West Brom drew level five minutes later as Sule showed great composure to fire in off the base of the post from six-yards out.

And the Baggies turned the game on its head four minutes before the break when Sule scored his second of the game from the penalty spot after the scorer went down under a challenge from Morgan Owen in the box.

The Reds responded on 82 minutes as Loughlan scored from the spot after the ball struck Abdul Abudu’s arm in the penalty area.

And Redditch reclaimed the lead on 87 minutes when Bruck, who recently joined Rugby Town on loan, nodded in from close range after Brian Okonkwo could only parry Dexter Dudley-Toole’s effort.

Redditch face a crunch clash against play-off rivals Needham Market on Saturday, March 21 with kick-off at 3pm at the Valley Stadium.
