Reds celebrate value to Redditch with new social impact report

REDDITCH United have increased the social value of their impact on the town to £4.2million following the publication of the club’s social impact report.

As calculated by the Football Association (FA), Redditch have increased their social value by £300,000 from the club’s 2025 figure.

Speaking on the evening, chairman David Faulkner said the social value statistics were particularly impressive because the metric was measured by the FA, rather than the club.

“Again we have one of the best social value figures out of all the football clubs in the UK.”

He added, although £4.2million worth was a fantastic achievement, so much more was going on at Redditch United.

The club provided football for more than 600 players across all of its teams, there were 4,500 members of the community impacted by its good work and over 1,000 people used the club’s 3G pitch.

The club is also the only one in the UK with its own SEND provision and in February, Redditch United became only the second club in the World to be carbon neutral.

And, in January, Redditch Youth and Community Enterprises (RYCE), the charity that operates the Redi Centre on South Street, agreed a new partnership with Redditch United in the Community (RUITC), the community arm of Redditch United Football Club.

Mr Faulkner added: “If we want the town to support us, then we need to support the town.

“A lot of the things we have done started when joined six years ago.

“We have been a driving force for positive change and, as well as the social impact report showing what we have done, tonight is about celebrating everyone who has helped us get to where we are today.”

The majority of the figure comes from £2.9million in workforce value and £1.2million in wellbeing value.

The club has also funded 1,800 Holiday and Food (HAF) holiday camp places and work in 21 schools covering seven areas.
