PRESTIGIOUS medals including a CBE were stolen from an Alvechurch home.

Thieves forced their way into the Aqueduct Lane property about 8.25pm on Tuesday, December 16, stealing jewellery and a fire-axe as well as two engraved medals. One was a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) medal, while the second was West Midlands Fire Service’s long service award.

Three people were seen running from the address and a vehicle with distinctive roof bars was spotted leaving the area.

Anyone with any information should contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident reference number 689 of December 16, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
