A CELEBRATION of Ella Fitzgerald’s music will be coming to the Redditch Palace Theatre stage later this month.
Midlands-based jazz vocalist Annette Gregory, backed by her band, honour the iconic singer’s contribution to jazz with well known swing tunes and power ballads.
Described as having ‘a voice like velvet’ by Abbey Radio’s Sandy Letham, Annette’s show takes its audience on a journey through different decades of the jazz star’s career.
After releasing her EP Living The Dream in 2015 she developed a show to pay homage and celebrate the life and songs of Ella Fitzgerald.
With Ella’s centenary year approaching in 2017, Annette has been touring the UK and is coming to Redditch on May 28.
The performance features some of Annette’s personal favourites by ‘The First Lady of Song’ with classics such as Blue Skies and Stella by Starlight.
Tickets are £13.50 and are available at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk or by contacting the box office on 01527 65203.
