Experience a poignant tale of war at The palace

Redditch Editorial 18th Oct, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

JACKY and Danny are two Brummie lads, best mates since their schooldays and apprentices together in the same factory. Their life is ordinary and unexciting but in the summer of 1914 the threat of war rumbled around Europe and by August Britain was at war with Germany.

National stars Don Maclean and Malcolm Stent lead a cast of 13 with songs specially written for the play and some familiar numbers and music from the trenches.

The result is a moving and poignant story of two ordinary boys, their lives and loves and their families caught up in the horrors of the war to end all wars.

It’s on stage at the Palace Theatre, Redditch on Thursday, October 27 and tickets are available from the box office on 01527 65203 priced £21 or you buy online at www.redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk
