INDIGO arts are set to take over the ex-Menkind unit in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre this Friday, in their latest pop-up venture.

Taking to the stage will be their talented singing group, Musicmaker, featuring youngsters aged six to 20, for an evening of acoustic performance.

The singers were last seen in the shopping centre at the opening of 360 Play, where they drew a lot of attention and high praise.

Indigo projects director, Cathy Moss, said: “This group of young people never cease to amaze those of us working with them. They put an enormous amount of time and effort in to developing their skills as performers, and their boundless energy, enthusiasm and talent, shines through in bucket loads.

“We really want to see them get the audience they deserve in the first pop-up evening they have done on their own as performers.”

Musicmaker are also now recruiting again, having settled in to their new Arts Lab space at the Kingfisher.

For those thinking about joining, this is the ideal opportunity to get along and see what they do.

Indigo are offering the opportunity for any possible new recruits purchasing a ticket to Friday’s show, to enjoy a term at Musicmaker for half price, from after Easter to the Summer Break, with no membership fee.

To take advantage of the offer, just need to produce your ticket at your first workshop.

The show starts at 7.30pm on Friday (March 31) in the unit opposite Clintons. Tickets are available online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/indigoarts, at £7 (£5 children).
