Man and two young children racially abused in Redditch hate crime attack

POLICE are appealing for information after a man and his children were racially abused in Redditch.

.Between 8:30am and 9am this morning (Friday, 7 July), the victim, a man in his 40s along with his child, had been stood outside Astwood Bank primary school on Church Road when the incident occurred.

The criminal drove past the victim when racial comment were made.

Investigation Officer PC Giuseppe Saladino said: “We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and will not tolerate hate crime within our community.




“We are currently following a number of lines of enquiry in relation to the incident and as part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and believes that they may have witnessed the incident .

“We encourage anyone who believes that they have been a victim of hate crime is encouraged to contact West Mercia Police on 101. Hate crime can also be reported online via True Vision at www.report-it.org.uk.”


Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident number 182s of 7 July 2017.
