A GROUP of employees from Barrie Beard Ltd undertook a daring 10,000ft skydive to raise £3,500 for the Primrose Hospice, writes Ryan Smith.

Employees Tom Gwinnett, Matt Tongue, Mark Smith, Jimmy Tonks, Sarah Harrod and Nick Godfrey, took to the skies in what was one of several fundraisers organised for the cause.

A Three Peaks Challenge is also being planned for June next year for the Primrose, Sands (stillbirth and neo-natal death charity) and Target Ovarian Cancer. All three charities have an emotional connection to some of Barrie Beard Ltd’s employees.

Primrose Hospice’s fundraising manager Emma Williams said: “We are so grateful for the dedicated support we receive from the great team at Barrie Beard Ltd.

“This was a huge challenge for the team to take on and the funds will go to support services for patients and families living with life limiting illnesses.”

The firm’s managing director Russell Beard added: “We are so incredibly proud of Jimmy, Mark, Matt, Nick, Sarah and Tom.”

He added all six ‘high fliers’ were supported by their friends, family and work colleagues who helped raise the cash.
