Banned band's song was about the mess government had made of Brexit

REDDITCH watertower artist Steve Pound won’t be swapping paint for punk because he won’t be taking to the stage with his band Chaos Experience at Morton Stanley Festival.

The reason? They’ve been banned for their song ‘Britain is Dead’ which we highlighted here on this website earlier this week.

The song brought a massive response on social media from Leavers and Remainers and others just putting their penny’s worth in.

Before the ban Steve, a Green Party activist and previous local elections candidate had described the song like this: “Our song ‘Britain is Dead’ is about Brexit and our discontent with the Government for making such a mess of dealing with it.

“Personally I think Brexit is a disaster and leaving the EU should never have been a public vote as the public were ill informed and not qualified to make a decision like this.

“All it will bring is more hardship for the working classes as we suffer the consequences of the wishes of the 52 per cent who think standing alone in a world full of Trumps and Putins is a good idea… Anyway what a mess and here is our anger wrapped in a nice little ditty to melt your ears.”
